Papugai Celebrates 20 Years in January!
A note of thanks from managing partner, Matt Lewis.
10/22/08
I looked at the calendar this week and it suddenly hit me... We've been doing this for 20 years. 20 YEARS? Man... That means every time I tell a story about the 1980's (the decade we started all this), I have to stop and realize that roughly half of our professional staff were still in grade school at that time!
But it's fun to think about some of those more-than-decade-old client relationships that are still going strong today. For example, National Sign Corporation, a client since 1995, still consults with Papugai on design and marketing components (and they need to take a look at our web design services)... --------Yikes, Tim! Give us a call!
On the left are a handful of pages from a 64-page marketing brochure we developed for National Sign a few years ago. Papugai was responsible for all design, photography and copyrighting on that project.
E-commerce software is great fun, and we have an amazing team of designers, software engineers, and usability strategists for that — but we still love print design, and all that goes with it, as much as ever and I recall this one, from 13 years ago, with smiles and warm feelings.
Looking back on 20 years of service to our clients brings to mind the reason we started this business in the first place. Papugai is, and has always been, focused on helping small businesses compete successfully against their larger competitive counterparts. To accomplish this with any sense of completeness requires a long-term spirit of partnership and an intimate knowledge of a client's business, its daily operations, its processes and procedures, and its long-term strategy for marketing, client engagement, and fulfillment of brand promise.
We are excited about our 20th year and we have several very effective new strategies in place for our 21st year. I am very grateful for the relationships we have developed over time, and I am eager to develop some new ones as well.
So thank you, National Sign and many others for your business, friendship and loyalty over this span of time we have spent together, as we embraced ever-changing technologies while staying close and committed to our timeless tradition of communication, culture, and caring for one another.
We extend our warmest blessing over your business and hope to continue to know you for many years to come.
Thank you, also, to my partners and my tireless staff who are dedicated and committed to our clients' needs day and night, and to my wife and children who always come first and who always stand behind me through successes and challenges of all kinds.
It's been an amazing two decades. May God continue to bless us with a third.
